That is the entrance to the site. They could not put the car park anywhere near the rock face because of the nature of the soft limestone rock, so, the visitor centre, the helicopter landing area, the car and bus park are well away from the rockface and in order to get to the 12 Apostles you have to pass through the tunnel underneath the road. It’s quite an impressive work of engineering and also impressive because that’s my son standing there :o)
