Luckily, our son and daughter-in-law have been reading REAL books to our grandkids since they were infants so they all have a true love of books. The oldest one (now 7) reads to his younger brothers when Mama is busy with baby sister (born in April).
I visited my neighborhood branch library a couple blocks away on Monday and was actually astounded at the number of your moms with little kids there. I hope they continue to expose them to the wonderful world of libraries (even if they are becoming more and more digital).

Our Senior High School no longer has a library. It’s no longer “Take out your books” it’s more of “Open your laptop to…” Sad, really.

Yes, our local library runs similar programs for young mums and children, which is very hopeful
